This is my second year ordering a cake from Gemma, and once again she completely exceeded my expectations.

The first year, I walked into her shop with absolutely no idea what I wanted. I noticed a cake display model in the corner (the second photo) and asked if she could recreate it. She confidently said, “Absolutely.” When I picked up the cake, if the display model hadn’t still been sitting there, I honestly wouldn’t have believed the one she made was actually a cake. It looked identical.

This year, I brought her the first photo and asked if she could recreate my wife’s dream Sleeping Beauty cake from her childhood. Gemma looked at the picture for only a few seconds and immediately knew exactly how she was going to make it. A couple of days ago, when I surprised my wife with the finished cake, she was so happy she was almost in tears. It was the cake she had dreamed of since she was a little girl.

Gemma was incredible - in a unforeseen issue with our former vendor - Gemma was able to assist with absolute ease and professionalism to give us our dream cake!! Absolutely beautiful beyond what I imagined and tasted fantastic!!

I was not able to attend any tasting, and had only sent her 1 email with inspo pics, and left it to blind fate - but Gemma really pulled through and gave us an amazing amazing tasting cake that looked absolutely incredible!!!

I highly recommend Gemma and the team at Melbourne Cake Studio. The custom 21st cake creation both looked amazing and tasted amazing. Gemma worked with me to customise the look of the cake, to fit in with my vision and colour scheme. I was able to choose three different delicious cake fillings. The whole ordering process was so easy! Having delivery and cake stand hire was also super helpful. I will be using Gemma and her team for my next big party.

Gemma was an absolute dream to work with! 🤍 She was so understanding of what we were after and made the whole process feel easy and exciting. The cake tasting boxes honestly helped us so much but because every single flavour was incredible… choosing was the hardest part 😅

Our wedding cake was perfect, exactly what we envisioned, both beautiful and delicious. It was also the best post-wedding breakfast treat we could have asked for the next morning! 😂

Gemma did an amazing job at making my Mamma Mia vision come alive for this cake. The decorations were absolutely remarkable, the colours of the cake were perfect and the font was identical to what I wanted. She made amazing suggestions such as the pink 3D flowers coming out of my cake instead of just buttercream flowers piped. These sort of suggestions gave the cake that extra bit of detail, making it look even more special. Still in awe of this cake. Thank you Gemma

Gemma at Melborune Cake Studio is incredible, we got a two tier cake for our wedding and it was perfect and Gemma nailed our vision. We chose our cake flavours through the tasting box and it was so hard to pick because they were all incredible.

We engaged Melbourne Cake Studio to make a custom "battery shaped" cake for a special business event/celebration. The task was quite complex with our expectation for the cake to look an exact replica of a car battery, both dimensionally as well as aesthetically. Gemma & Melbourne Cake Studio's team did an incredible job with producing a cake looking so much like a real battery that all the guests were gobsmacked and believed that this was a battery and not the cake! Well done, Gemma..your attention to detail and passion for what you do has been commendable! Thanks a lot.

I would highly recommend Melbourne cake studios..
We had an 80th birthday cake made.
It looked AMAZING and tasted AMAZING. We ordered lemon mud.. it wouldn’t have been my personal choice of flavour out of the list.. but i thought its not for me I’ll go with lemon as the couple it was for love lemon. It was delicious. It was a bit of a show stopper too, everyone commented on it.. everyone loved it.
Super easy to order online.

Gemma was amazing. She helped talk us through the varying options, sizes of cake and frosting options.
Then we had to try choose two of the delicious flavours available.
The end result was fantastic. Our guests loved the cake. I thought we had ordered more than needed but it all got eaten 😋💜

The most beautiful cake was made for my daughter’s 21st birthday party by Melbourne Cake Stuidio.
We had a vision and brief that Gemma and team brought to life fulfilling our expectations not only visually but it also tasted soooo delicious!

I ordered a 9 inch (32 aervings) cake - citrus mudcake with lemon buttercream (decorated with fresh orchids) from Melbourne Cake Studio for a birthday celebration.
Gemma made the process of choosing and designing the cake effortless.
My guests and I really enjoyed the cake as it was delicious, moist, flavoursome and not too sweet. Highly recommended.

Gemma and the team were absolutely incredible to work with when planning our wedding cake! They made everything so easy and were also able to send us designs similar to what we had in mind to help us with our vision! Outstanding job by the Melbourne Cake Studio on the birthday cake! They truly outdid themselves, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. The birthday boy, a massive fan of beer, was completely taken aback by the cake – not only for its fun and personal design but also for its deliciousness. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the flavours were even better than we hoped.

We had a rich, moist lemon mud cake filled with tangy lemon buttercream, which was perfect for the occasion, and the white chocolate and raspberry cake was out of this world. Everyone at the party was raving about it, and it made the celebration extra special. If you want to impress, the Melbourne Cake Studio is the way to go!

Thank you Gemma for our lovely wedding cake. We love everything about it, the colours of the mini cupcakes perfectly matched the colours of our wedding! The flavours of the cake, we loved the raspberry frosting, the cupcake flavours were a hit with all guests.
We also loved how you decorated the cake and between the cupcakes with fresh florals.
During consultation you listened to all our ideas and gave us advice on what would work, what might not which we loved.

Gemma's food and communication was exceptional. The flavours of the cake were incredible, her attention to detail on the figurines of our dogs on the cake was amazing. We also ordered a slab for our vegan/lactose free friends and they couldn't believe the flavours!

Gemma & her team at Melbourne cake studio created the most amazing and delicious wedding cake for our wedding just gone. We had a three tier wedding cake with the flavours white mud, biscoff butter cake and salted caramel crunch mud cake. Not only where the flavours delicious but it was incredible that you could have multiple flavours in the one cake 🥰
